Follow the Sun – a journey that goes beyond
In this workshop Ryan Croes, Senior Manager Advisory at Grant Thornton in the Dutch Caribbean, will take the attendees on a journey to the Caribbean. A story about going beyond business as usual to deliver a different experience. More personal, agile, and proactive. Challenging the Status Quo, in a “Culture of Appreciation”. Ryan is part of the Advisory department and is involved in projects regarding organizational strategy, enterprise risk management and organizational change. These are just a few topics that he will use as a reference for the workshop program and which he will connect to the subject matters of the other departments (i.e. Tax and Audit). The session is centered around the work of a consultant in an Accounting firm, with important context shared like corporate values and the specifics of the Grant Thornton Career Journey. The workshop will shed light on why a career in the Dutch Caribbean, is the choice of a lifetime.

Ryan CroesRyan is a Senior Manager within the Advisory practice across the Dutch Caribbean including Suriname. He is an experienced consultant with almost 10-years working in a big-4 consulting firm, where he built up his career with a solid background in risk management, compliance, change management and technology. His Aruban heritage recently drew him back to the Caribbean after living in the Netherlands for about 20 years. Next to working in the Netherlands and the Caribbean, he also performed several projects internationally around risk, processes, large scale implementations, internal audits, IT audits, large- scale transformation programs and management consulting. With Ryan’s extensive experience he’s the right person to support any organization in their journey to transform and add value. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specialization in Financial Services from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Next to that he also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business and Management Studies from the University of Amsterdam. This is where he specialized in leadership and management & technology and innovation. Next to these academic qualifications, Ryan also carries several certifications as part of his career development within the management consultancy field. For example, the PRINCE2 certification.
