• Developing and maintaining the Rabobank Frontend Platform

  The Rabobank frontend environment is maintained by 120+ teams, all of which develop their own features using services and tooling developed and maintained in-house by the Rabo Online Platform teams. All the frontend code for our customer facing applications is stored in our version controlled monorepo, and these applications are updated multiple times a day via our extensive CI/CD setup. During this workshop we’ll give you an introduction on how we do things, what our setup looks like, and the challenges of supporting these feature teams in such a large environment.

• Follow the Sun – a journey that goes beyond

  In this workshop Ryan Croes, Senior Manager Advisory at Grant Thornton in the Dutch Caribbean, will take the attendees on a journey to the Caribbean. A story about going beyond business as usual to deliver a different experience. More personal, agile, and proactive. Challenging the Status Quo, in a “Culture of Appreciation”. Ryan is part of the Advisory department and is involved in projects regarding organizational strategy, enterprise risk management and organizational change. These are just a few topics that he will use as a reference for the workshop program and which he will connect to the subject matters of the other departments (i.e. Tax and Audit). The session is centered around the work of a consultant in an Accounting firm, with important context shared like corporate values and the specifics of the Grant Thornton Career Journey. The workshop will shed light on why a career in the Dutch Caribbean, is the choice of a lifetime.

• Heropening van de grenzen tussen Venezuela en de ABC-eilanden

  Tussen Venezuela en de ABC-eilanden bestaat een lange historische geschiedenis, waarin er sprake is van economische ontwikkeling en sociale interactie. Deze historische geschiedenis zal tijdens de workshop de revue passeren. Op 19 februari 2019 besluit Venezuela de grenzen met de ABC-eilanden te sluiten. Wat zijn de consequenties van deze eenzijdige beslissing voor de ABC-eilanden op economisch en sociaal gebied?

  Op 3 april 2023 opent Curaçao de lucht- en maritieme grenzen met Venezuela en Bonaire zal per dezelfde datum alleen de maritieme grenzen openen. Aruba opent op 1 mei in eerste instantie alleen de maritieme grenzen. Wanneer het luchtruim voor Venezuela opengaat op Aruba en Bonaire is nog niet bekend. 

  Naar aanleiding van deze heropening van de grenzen zullen op een interactieve wijze de voor- en nadelen van deze heropening voor de ABC-eilanden besproken worden met de deelnemers aan de workshop. Adviezen voor een positieve heropening van de grenzen met Venezuela zijn welkom!
